Craig Mullett acquires businesses for a living. He’s built and sold many businesses, across a range of industries. He’ll distill decades of experience into a simple practical inspirational, deeply interactive talk on how to build your business in order to get it acquired.

Of 1,000 business plans Craig reviews each year, he invests in 3 companies. He’s a co-founder of AngelHub and an active angel investor in various angel communities. He brings tremendous insight into M&A, business models, and trends.

Introducing Our Guest Expert


Craig Mullett is President of Branison Group, an M&A advisory firm based near New York City.

He was previously Director of Corporate Development for Amphenol Corporation (at the time a KKR portfolio company) and following this he was a non-executive director of Volex Group. He founded and sold HomeWorths in South Africa and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte

Craig is also an active angel investor as a Director of the Angel Investor Forum, part of the Angel Capital Association. He is a founder of AngelHub - Africa's first angel group and helped in establishing SA Business Angels Network as well as Trident Angels, the first Caribbean angel group.

Further to his business achievements, he has has been interviewed on startup investing by the New York Times, Forbes, Financial Mail and Inc. and has many active angel investments that include cloud computing software, mobile digital security, consumer goods and medical devices.

Craig is currently a Venture Advisor at Yale University and has an MBA from Nyenrode (Netherlands), a BCom(Hons) from the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and is a graduate of the International Leadership Academy of the United Nations (Jordan).
